This lesson plan was from my very first rotation. The main concept of this lesson was learning how to find the median in different sets of numbers. The students really enjoyed this lesson because they had candy to work with and that motivated them to complete the lesson. The candy also helped them understand the lesson better because they had objects to count and group instead of just looking at a group of numbers on the board. Overall, this lesson went really well and I had a great time teaching it.

During this rotation I was in an art class so I was able to experience a different style of teaching. The lessons that the teacher taught were usually short because her students mostly did individual work on projects. It was interesting to be able to teach a shorter lesson. This lesson went well and it was understood by the students. When the students turned in their glazed pieces it was clear that they learned something from the lesson.

This lesson was taught in a special ed classroom that had five students. These students needed extra instruction compared to the students in a mainstream classroom. This lesson was a lot of fun to teach because I was able to do a couple of different activities with the students. Also, we changed locations in the classroom so it wasn't an hour of sitting in the same location. The students seemed to really enjoy the geo-boards and pattern blocks. These materials allowed them to visualize the shapes that were being taught to them. This was one of my favorite lessons that I have taught and it went really well.

This lesson was taught in a second grade classroom. The students were learning the similarities between writing addition sentences and multiplication sentences. I completed two worksheets with the students and gave them time to do a couple of the problems on their own in their groups. The students seemed to enjoy participating in this lesson which assured me that they had a good understanding of the concept.

This lesson was also taught in a second grade classroom. This was the first day they were introduced to the topic of motion. They experimented with tops and the goal was to come up with the best tops on their shafts that made the object spin the best. The students had a lot of fun with this lesson because they were able to work with their peers and share their ideas.
